Help Us Discover Bhutan’s Organic Community

Do you know an organic farmer, retailer, distributor, restaurant, hotel, or other business working with certified organic produce in Bhutan?

We want to hear from you!

The Bhutan Organic Project (BOP) is expanding its network and updating our information on where to buy, where to eat, and where to stay across Bhutan. We are looking to connect with people and businesses that we may not yet know about.

If you are, or know of:

  • Certified organic farmers and producers
  •  Retailers and shops selling organic produce
  •  Distributors and suppliers
  •  Restaurants using organic produce
  •  Hotels and accommodation providers
  •  Other businesses or organisation supporting organic food in Bhutan

Please get in touch and share their details with us.

As part of our efforts to promote Bhutan’s organic community, we will feature suitable businesses and producers on the BOP website and introduce them through our social media channels (completely free of charge.)

We also warmly invite businesses and individuals to become part of the BOP membership community and join us in promoting Bhutanese organic agriculture and products.

Know someone we should feature? Let us know. Together, we can help showcase the quality, diversity and potential of Bhutan’s organic community to the world.

Business for Domestic

The Bhutan Organic Project (BOP) is dedicated to strengthening Bhutan’s agricultural sector by supporting farmers, entrepreneurs, and local communities in producing high-quality organic products. As Bhutan moves toward its national vision of becoming a fully organic country, the domestic market plays a crucial role in building consumer trust, stimulating local enterprise, and creating sustainable economic opportunities.

Purpose of the Domestic Business Initiative

Bhutan Organic Project aims to:

1.Promote the consumption of Bhutanese organic products within local households, institutions, and hospitality sectors.
2.Empower local farmers and producers by improving market access and reducing dependency on imported goods.
3.Strengthen the national organic value chain, from production to processing to retail.
4.Enhance food security and rural livelihoods by creating profitable opportunities within Bhutan.

This page is intended for Bhutanese businesses interested in working with organic agricultural products. Opportunities include sourcing organic produce, value addition, distribution, retail, hospitality, and food services.

We welcome:

  • retailers

  • wholesalers
